UGANET is a grassroots organization of network administrators, technical professionals, and interested individuals at the University of Georgia. UGANET meets once a month to provide a forum for the discussion technical and networking issues. While not directly a branch of the University administration, UGANET is recognized by the Information Technology Advisory Council and the Information Technology Management Forum as the official voice for computer and network professionals on campus.
UGANET meets at 1:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month online or in a location announced to the mailing list.
The Chair and spokesperson for UGANET is currently Chip Woods, who also maintains this site. The position of UGANET Secretary is responsible for taking the minutes of each meeting and is currently vacant. The officers of UGANET are elected by the membership at each September meeting.
